Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that a work plan should be prepared to promote the commercial production of tulips in the state. He issued instructions to the Horticulture Department officials in this regard.
On Friday, the Chief Minister, along with his family, planted tulip bulbs in the garden of the Chief Minister’s residence, initiating a campaign to grow four thousand tulips of 17 varieties. These include tulips of unique colors, such as the Lake Purple and Bicolor varieties. The Chief Minister instructed the Horticulture Department to prepare a work plan for the commercial production of tulips and emphasized innovation in the field of floriculture and horticulture.
Chief Minister Dhami also took detailed information about tulip production from the horticulture in-charge, Deepak Purohit, and inquired about various horticulture-related activities in the complex, including mushroom cultivation and beekeeping.
