The Winter Line Carnival in Mussoorie, the Queen of the Hills, has begun with a spectacular cultural procession. Various cultural groups and artists participated in the procession, accompanied by drums, traditional instruments, and folk songs. Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi officially inaugurated the carnival. For the first time, flowers were showered from a helicopter during the carnival’s cultural procession.
From December 24th to 29th, the city’s squares, intersections, and tourist spots will be abuzz with colorful cultural programs. The cultural procession, which stretched from Landour Survey Ground to Library Chowk, saw the participation of folk artists from Uttarakhand, cultural groups, social workers, school students, and people associated with political parties.
The cultural procession was flagged off by Mussoorie Festival Committee Secretary and Sub-Divisional Magistrate Rahul Anand and Municipal Chairperson Meera Saklani. During the event, the ITBP band team gave a splendid performance at Library Chowk. A performance of auspicious songs was also held.
