The education system in the Srinagar assembly constituency will be further strengthened. Departmental officials have been instructed to ensure the provision of basic facilities in schools, including the deployment of teachers. In addition, officials have been directed to review the education system in two assembly constituencies daily to make it more effective.
State School Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat held a review meeting on Friday at his official residence regarding the education system in his assembly constituency. During the meeting, he expressed his displeasure with the lax arrangements and strongly reprimanded the departmental officials. He instructed the officials to ensure that basic facilities such as furniture, drinking water supply, electricity connections, toilets, laboratories, smart classrooms, and computer labs are available in schools under the Pabo, Khirsu, Thalisain, and Veeronkhal blocks of the assembly constituency, so that students do not face any inconvenience. He also inquired about the current status of teachers in the primary and secondary schools of the area and directed that teachers be appointed to the vacant positions. The minister also instructed the officials to expedite the establishment of cluster schools in the area, complete the construction works sanctioned under the disaster relief fund on time, and promptly submit proposals for the upgradation of schools to the Directorate General. Furthermore, Dr. Rawat directed the departmental officials to review the education system in two assembly constituencies every day to strengthen it.
The meeting was attended by Director General of School Education Deepti Singh, Director of Secondary Education Dr. Mukul Sati, Director of Primary Education Ajay Kumar Naudiyal, Director of Sanskrit Education and Additional Director of Secondary Education (Garhwal) Kanchan Deorari, Chief Education Officer Pauri Nagendra Bartwal, and other departmental officials.
