Following Congress leader Harak Singh’s statement, the Sikh community is angered, and the Congress party itself is feeling uneasy. On Monday, Congress leader and former Chief Minister Harish Rawat visited the Aadhat Bazaar Gurdwara and offered prayers. He also performed the Joda Seva (a place for keeping the Sangat’s shoes). He said, “We apologize to the Sikh community for any mistakes that have been made.”
On Monday evening, former Chief Minister Harish Rawat visited the Gurudwara Guru Singh Sabha in Aadhat Bazaar. He offered prayers and langar seva, and took prasad. He said, “The Sikh community is a proud and generous community of India, and it is unimaginable to insult such a community even in our wildest dreams.”
He said, “If any mistakes have been made by mistake, we apologize to this proud community.” Previously, Congress leader Harak Singh Rawat had also apologized to the Sikh community.
