Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi reviewed the ongoing development works and disaster-reconstruction work in the Mussoorie Assembly constituency at his camp office on Friday. Officials from the Public Works Department, PMGSY, Jal Sansthan, Drinking Water Corporation, Irrigation Department, Minor Irrigation Department, and the district administration were present at the meeting.
During the meeting, Minister Ganesh Joshi directed all departments to work in coordination and give top priority to reconstruction work in disaster-affected areas. He said that proposals related to drinking water, sewer lines, roads, protective works, internal roads, schools, Panchayat buildings, etc. should be prepared under the disaster head and sent for early approval, so that reconstruction work can be started in the affected areas as soon as possible.
The Cabinet Minister specifically directed officials from the Public Works Department and PMGSY to complete all road construction and repair estimates and government-related work within a week in affected areas, including Serki Silla, Bhainswad village, Chhamrauli, Ghantu Kasera, Kiara, Simyari, Sarkhet, Bhainklikhala, Kiara-Dhanaulti Road, Phulet, Sarona, Karligad, and Loharigarh. He clarified that it is the departments’ responsibility to complete the work within the stipulated timeframe, and that any negligence will not be tolerated. Minister Joshi directed officials from all concerned departments to expedite the reconstruction work.
