On the occasion of the 19th National Jamboree of the Bharat Scouts and Guides, state Cabinet Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat was honored with the “Silver Elephant Award.” Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel presented the honor to Dr. Rawat. On this occasion, Dr. Rawat stated that Scouting is a major platform for inculcating discipline, unity, and patriotism among youth, which is being continuously promoted in schools and colleges across the state.
On Wednesday, at a grand ceremony held at the Uttar Pradesh Raj Bhavan on the occasion of the 19th National Jamboree, Governor Smt. Anandiben Patel honored Cabinet Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat with the “Silver Elephant Award,” the highest national honor of the Bharat Scouts and Guides. Governor Anandiben Patel commended Dr. Rawat for his efforts to strengthen the Scout-Guide movement in Uttarakhand, expand its reach on a wide scale, and foster positive and nation-building mindsets among youth, and extended her best wishes to him.
Upon being honored with the Silver Elephant Award, Dr. Rawat expressed his deep inspiration for this moment. He stated that Scouting is a powerful platform for inculcating discipline, unity, service, and patriotism among youth. He stated that the government is continuously working to expand and enhance the effectiveness of Scout-Guide activities in schools and colleges across the state.
Expressing gratitude to the Bharat Scouts and Guides Organization, Dr. Rawat stated that through Scout-Guide activities across the country, this organization plays a vital role in the physical, intellectual, spiritual, and social development of youth, strengthening the spirit of universal brotherhood. He stated that this honor will inspire him to engage in public service and youth empowerment with even greater dedication in the future.
