The Baikunth Chaturdashi Fair and Development Exhibition 2025, to be held in Srinagar from November 4th to 10th, kicked off with great fanfare. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami virtually inaugurated the fair. The fair’s patron, District Magistrate Pauri Swati S. Bhadoria, Municipal Corporation Mayor Aarti Bhandari, and Municipal Commissioner Nupur Verma began the program by lighting the lamp. Following this, the students of GGIC Srinagar enthralled the audience with their spectacular performances of Shiva Vandana and Chholiya dance.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister, responding to the Mayor’s request, assured action to make Srinagar a solar city. He directed the District Magistrate to provide all proposals to the government. He stated that further action would be taken after reviewing the proposals. Childless couples will now perform the Khada Diya ritual at the Kamleshwar Mahadev Temple at night to conceive a child.
