The CBI filed a case late last night in the paper leak case. Khalid, Suman, Sabia, and Heena were named as accused. The Dehradun ACB branch registered a case under the anti-cheating law. The investigation was assigned to Assistant Superintendent Rajiv Chandola. On September 21st, the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission conducted a graduate-level recruitment examination. During this examination, a paper leak was reported from a center in Haridwar. Youths questioning the integrity of the examination began a sit-in protest near the Parade Ground on the night of September 21st. Several rounds of talks were held with the youth, but no agreement was reached for several days. Meanwhile, the police also filed a case and were investigating. A letter was issued by the government, two accused were arrested, and a single-inquiry commission was also formed. Despite this, the youth remained adamant on demanding a CBI investigation and the cancellation of the examination. In such a situation, on September 29, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached the protest site among the youth and from there recommended a CBI investigation. The next day, an official letter was issued by the government. The police headquarters was continuously coordinating with central departments. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister recently announced the cancellation of the examination. Now, the DoPT has approved the government’s recommendation for a CBI investigation
