New Delhi: The Railways has made arrangements to run special trains for Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) candidates. The examination will be conducted on Sunday at 1435 examination centres in all 75 districts. Railways has made several arrangements for lakhs of candidates to reach the examination centres without any hassle.
Giving information about the arrangement, Amit Kumar Singh, public relations officer of North Central Railway (Prayagraj division), said, “The activities of the station will be continuously monitored through CCTV cameras.” Prayagraj division has arranged reserved racks for smooth transportation of candidates and special trains will also be run if required.
The public relations officer said that the departure time of various trains on October 12 may be changed as required to ensure that the candidates returning after the examination do not face any inconvenience in reaching their destination. Similarly, the timings of various trains on October 11 and 12 may be extended as required.
Amit Kumar Singh said that special preparations have been made by the railways to ensure the convenience and smooth journey of the candidates appearing in this exam. Teams of officers, commerce employees, Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) have been deployed at major stations of the division – Prayagraj Junction, Kanpur Central, Aligarh Junction, Tundla, Etawah and Mainpuri for special surveillance and passenger assistance.
In addition, the Prayagraj division has arranged additional racks at Dadri, Tundla, Kanpur Central and Prayagraj Junction, which will be operated as special trains as required. The railways have ensured that all the candidates appearing in the examination do not face any inconvenience in the railway premises. On the day of the examination, the divisional officers will conduct round-the-clock surveillance through a control room.
“Instructions have been issued to actively use the “holding area” in case of crowding at all major stations, ensuring orderly waiting and assistance for passengers,” Singh said.”
The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has also issued a public notice and said, “In view of the UPPCS preliminary examination on Sunday, the Namo Bharat services running between New Ashok Nagar and Meerut South will start at 6 am instead of 8 am and will continue till 10 pm.
