The notification of the standard of physical efficiency test of Fire Officer II (FSSO) could not last even for 24 hours because if even the world record holder runner had come here, he would not have become a fire officer. Due to the alertness of Amar Ujala, as soon as the news of this impracticality reached the officials, they immediately started the process of amendment of this notification.
The Personnel Department had now issued a notification of integrated rules for the recruitment of sub-inspectors and constables in various departments on Thursday. Amar Ujala published a news on the standards of physical efficiency test of FSSO in this notification. FSSO candidate will have to run 900 meters with a weight of 65 kg.
It was told that earlier the five km race used to be completed in 30 minutes and for female candidates, the rule was to complete the 200 meter race in 40 seconds. Now male candidates will have to complete the 900 meter race in one minute with a weight of 65 kg. A rule has been made for female candidates to complete the two km race in 15 minutes.
Amendment process started
After the news was published, the government took cognizance of it. Personnel Secretary Shailesh Bagauli said that the provision of completing a distance of 900 meters (including 65 kg weight) in one minute in the standard of running and walking has been made due to a typing error. The process of amendment has been started in this.
An officer of the Personnel Department said that the committee of Additional Secretary Home Riddhim Agarwal has been informed about this standard by sending a letter. Now the recommendation of the revised standard will come from there, after which the notification will be amended. It is being told that the time of one minute can be made 10 minutes in this
