The final publication of the electoral roll in Uttarakhand will now take place on October 3, 2026. Chief Electoral Officer Dr. B.V.R.C. Purushottam shared this information during a press conference held at the Secretariat media center.
• Change in Date: According to the previously scheduled program, the final electoral roll was to be published on September 15; however, the Election Commission of India has extended this date to October 3.
• Hearing of Notices: Under the special intensive revision campaign, hearings have been completed for over 99 percent of the total 2.43 million (24.30 lakh) notices concerning unmapped entries and discrepancies.
• Disposal of Forms: The hearing process for Forms 6, 7, and 8 is 40 percent complete.
• Final Timeline: As per the Commission’s new schedule, hearings on claims and objections will continue until September 28, followed by the release of the final list on October 3.
