The 24th Board Meeting of the Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board (UTDB) was held under the chairmanship of Tourism Minister Shri Satpal Maharaj. During the meeting, 20 agenda items were unanimously approved to develop Uttarakhand into a leading global hub for adventure and spiritual tourism.
Key Decisions and Plans:

• Adventure Tourism Calendar: A calendar featuring 18 adventure sports events—including the Niti Extreme Ultra Marathon, Adi Kailash Parikrama Run, and Auli Winter Carnival—was approved. World-class training in adventure tourism will be provided to 3,121 youths.
• Development of Spiritual Sites: ‘Destination Plans’ will be formulated for the systematic development of Triyuginarayan, Kartik Swami, and Kainchi Dham, with a special focus on amenities and infrastructure.
• Home-stays and Safety: The construction grant for home-stays has been increased to ₹1 lakh. Additionally, river rafting regulations have been amended to make CPR courses mandatory for guides, thereby further strengthening tourist safety.
