On the eve of Independence Day, a grand ‘Tiranga Yatra’ (Tricolour Procession) was organized under the leadership of the District Legal Services Authority, Dehradun. Held under the guidance of District Judge Harish Kumar Goyal, the primary objective of the procession was to foster patriotism and raise awareness among citizens regarding their constitutional duties.
Starting from the New Court Building, the procession passed through Prince Chowk, Tehsil Chowk, and Darshan Lal Chowk before reaching Ghantaghar (Clock Tower). Participants—including judicial officers, advocates, students, traders, and members of social organizations—carried the Tricolour and chanted slogans of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai.”
District Judge Harish Kumar Goyal described the Tiranga Yatra as a symbol of national unity and sacrifice. Seema Dungrakoti, Secretary of the Authority, urged citizens to uphold the values enshrined in the Constitution. Senior administrative and police officials, along with members of the Doon Valley Vyapar Mandal (Traders’ Association), were present on the occasion.
