With the aim of ensuring that consumers receive the correct quantity and quality of fuel, the District Supply Department conducted surprise inspections at petrol pumps. A team led by District Supply Officer (DSO) K.K. Agarwal carried out a surprise check at a petrol pump to verify stock levels, dispensing measurements, and fuel quality.
• Stock and measurements accurate: The petrol and diesel levels in the underground tanks matched the stock register. Additionally, the dispensing nozzles were found to be delivering the correct quantities in accordance with prescribed standards.
• E-20 petrol check: The ethanol content in the E-20 petrol was found to be within government-mandated limits.
The District Supply Officer stated that safeguarding consumer interests is a top priority for the administration. This inspection drive will continue across the city, and strict action will be taken against any petrol pump found engaging in under-delivery or negligence regarding fuel quality
