Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami honored meritorious high school and intermediate students at the ‘Talent Felicitation Ceremony’ organized by Vidya Bharati, Uttarakhand, in Roorkee, Haridwar. During the event, he also inaugurated the ‘Anand Swaroop Arya Saraswati Vidya Mandir Shishu Vatika’.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister stated that Vidya Bharati is imparting education rooted in Sanatan culture, patriotism, and Indian values. Highlighting state government initiatives, he noted that Uttarakhand was the first state in the country to implement the New Education Policy. To secure the future of the youth, the country’s strictest anti-cheating law has been enacted; under this framework, over 34,000 young people have secured government jobs with complete transparency over the past five years. Additionally, financial assistance of ₹50,000 is being provided to support preparation for competitive examinations.
The Chief Minister urged the students to play a pivotal role in realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India) through their knowledge, values, and patriotism.
The ceremony was attended by various public representatives, educationists, District Magistrate Mayur Dixit, and SSP Navneet Singh Bhullar, alongside a large number of parents and students.
