Cracking down on illegal construction and projects undertaken without approved building plans, the Mussoorie-Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) sealed two buildings on Monday. This drive was carried out under the directives of Authority Vice-Chairman Banshidhar Tiwari and Secretary Mohan Singh Barnia.
The first action took place on Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg (Majra), where a building was sealed due to the construction of ground and first floors without permission. The second action was carried out at Bengali Kothi (Modharowala Road), where an unauthorized commercial construction project being undertaken by M.S. Rawat was sealed.
Vice-Chairman Banshidhar Tiwari clarified that the campaign against illegal construction and unauthorized land plotting would continue to ensure planned and safe development in the city. The Authority has appealed to the public to commence construction work only after obtaining the mandatory approval for building plans
