The Mussoorie-Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) has intensified its crackdown on illegal construction and unauthorized plotting. On Tuesday, an Authority team demolished an unauthorized plotting project being carried out by Nautiyal and Katiyar on approximately eight bighas of land in Saraswati Vihar, Ajabpur Kalan.
Conducted under the directives of Joint Secretary Pratyush Singh, this operation involved the removal of illegal development structures and the installation of warning boards at the site. The action was executed in the presence of Assistant Engineer Nishant Kukreti and Junior Engineer Jaideep Rana.
**Officials’ Appeal and Warning:**
• Vice Chairman Banshidhar Tiwari stated that systematic urban development is the Authority’s top priority. Such strict action will continue against those who violate the regulations.
• Secretary Mohan Singh Barnia issued a warning that unauthorized plotting will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
The Authority has appealed to the general public not to put their life savings at risk. Before purchasing any plot or property, individuals must verify its legal status and layout approval with the MDDA to avoid potential legal or financial losses in the future.
