Udaan,’ an acting workshop organized by the Rangayan Association, was formally inaugurated in the capital. The event commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest, AICC member and senior Congress Vice President Suryakant Dhasmana. Film writer Kanishk Kumar and several senior theatre artists from Dehradun were also present on the occasion.

He emphasized that music and art serve as powerful mediums for uniting society. Furthermore, highlighting the need for a dedicated ‘Art Centre’ for artists in Uttarakhand, he called upon all organizations to join forces in this endeavor.
Founder-President Nivedita Baunthiyal stated that the objective of the workshop is to hone the latent talent of the youth. Expressing her deep attachment to her homeland, she mentioned that she is sharing her acting experiences with local artists. She also announced that a three-day ‘Theatre Festival’ would be organized in Dehradun this coming July.
