Following the announcement by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the State Estates Department has accelerated the process of constructing a modern ‘State Guest House’ in the village of Thelapalan, Bageshwar. Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar, Secretary (Housing and State Estates), has accorded top priority to this ambitious project and directed the executing agency—the Public Works Department (PWD)—to prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR) at the earliest.
Key features of the project:
• Location and Scope: The guest house will be developed on a 45-nali (approximately 0.900 hectare) plot of land in Bageshwar.
• Modern Amenities: The building will feature adequate guest rooms, meeting halls, administrative offices, and modern parking facilities. It is being designed with both current and future requirements in mind.
• Quality and Timeliness: The Secretary has emphasized strict adherence to technical standards during construction and has directed that no negligence be tolerated. Furthermore, instructions have been issued to ensure that all necessary clearances and layout approvals are included with the DPR in a timely manner.
This guest house will not only facilitate VIP visits and government events but also strengthen administrative operations in Bageshwar. The government aims to complete this project within a set timeframe, thereby significantly enhancing the state’s infrastructure.
