Rudraprayag: Due to continuous rain in Rudraprayag district, the Kedarnath Dham walking route has become dangerous. At the same time, there has been excessive rain in Madhyamaheshwar valley as well. In view of which, Kedarnath and Madhyamaheshwar Yatra have been stopped for the next two days. Keeping in mind the safety of the devotees, the district administration has taken a big decision.
Let us tell you that it is raining continuously in the hilly areas of Uttarakhand. Due to which the incidents of landslides are increasing. It is also raining in Kedarnath. Due to which there is a possibility of debris and stones falling from the hill at many places on the walking route. Due to which, in view of the safety of the devotees and the general public traveling on foot, the Kedarnath Dham Yatra and Madhyamaheshwar Dham Yatra have been postponed for the next 48 hours by the district administration.
According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, an alert has been issued for the coming days. Boulders are falling at various places on the Kedarnath walking route, due to which the risk of accidents has increased. In view of which the district administration has taken a big decision.
Police banned going to the river bank: Heavy rains are continuing in the mountains, due to which life has become chaotic. The Meteorological Department has also issued a red alert regarding rain. After continuous rains, the Alaknanda river in Rudraprayag is flowing crossing the danger level. All the ghats and paths located on the river bank have been submerged. People living on the river bank have been asked to remain alert.
Alaknanda river in spate: The Alaknanda river in Rudraprayag is flowing in spate. The river has crossed its danger level and is flowing close to the danger mark. The paths leading to the river bank have also been closed, all the ghats are submerged. A 15 feet high statue of Lord Shiva is located about 30 meters away from the Alaknanda river in Rudraprayag, but due to the rising water level of the Alaknanda river, nothing can be seen of the statue under water. If the rain continues like this then the problems may increase.
