After the disaster in Dharali, Uttarkashi, today Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached ground zero amid weather challenges and visited the affected area. Along with this, he met the people affected by the natural disaster and inquired about their well-being. The Chief Minister has assured all possible help to the affected families. Along with this, reviewed the progress of relief work.
The Chief Minister also met the personnel engaged in relief and rescue operations deployed on the spot. He directed the officials to ensure that relief material and assistance reaches all the affected in a timely manner.
With the aim of speeding up the relief operations, essential food items and relief material have been delivered to the Dharali area through two helicopters. Apart from this, heavy machinery is also being transported by Chinook helicopters of the Indian Air Force, so that the repair of routes, removal of debris and other necessary works can be carried out expeditiously.
The priority of the state government is to provide relief to every affected person and restore normalcy. The Chief Minister directed the administration that no affected family should be deprived of assistance
Earlier, the Chief Minister had conducted an aerial survey of the affected areas of Uttarkashi. He also met the affected families and consoled them.
CM Dhami said, all our agencies including Indian Army, ITBP, SDRF, NDRF and local people are carrying out rescue operations. 130 people were rescued yesterday.
