Haridwar: After the instructions of CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, the police has launched Operation Kalanemi against the fake babas. Under Operation Kalanemi, Haridwar police has so far sent many fake babas behind bars. While the police campaign is still going on continuously.
Fake babas are being arrested: Haridwar district police is continuously tightening the noose on fake babas who work for their personal interests by wearing the garb of religion. Action is being taken against them under 172 (2) BNSS and Police Act. While on the previous day, the police took action against 36 fake babas. On July 30, during checking, Haridwar police took action against those who cheated the local people and travelers by showing tantra-mantra, witchcraft etc. in the guise of babas. Along with this, 44 fake babas were arrested. At the same time, 4 fake babas were arrested from Dakshprajapati temple.
Haridwar Police in action: Police verified everyone on the spot and took action against those whose documents and activities were found suspicious by taking them into custody under legal process. In the rural area, police arrested 24 fake babas in Kotwali Ganganahar, 11 in Kotwali Mangalore, 6 in Kaliyar police station, 1 in Khanpur police station and 2 in Bhagwanpur police station. SSP Pramod Singh Dobal says that Operation Kalanemi campaign has been launched after the instructions of the Chief Minister. Under this, about 1442 people were identified and verified in the last 20 days.
CM Dhami started the campaign: Action has been taken against the fake babas caught under 172 BNSS Act as well as 81 Police Act. Taking major action on the last day, action has been taken against many fake babas. Under the campaign, police is identifying and taking action against 29 fake babas roaming in the guise of sadhus and saints in different police station areas. In this campaign run by the police across the state, many criminals have also been found wearing the garb of religion. CM Dhami has started Operation Kalanemi in the state. Operation Kalanemi campaign is being run against those who cheat and deceive people by wearing religious attire.
