Nainital: Uttarakhand High Court will hear today the petition filed for relaxation in age limit in the case of police recruitment process going on for 2000 posts in the state. The petitioner informed that earlier the court had banned the opening of the result without the permission of the court, but the commission declared the result of physical without the permission of the court, which is a contempt of the court order.
According to the case, Roshan Singh, a resident of Chamoli, has filed a petition saying that on 20 October 2024, UKSSSC Selection Commission had issued a notification for 2000 posts for District Reserve Police, PAC IRB in the Police Department. Whose selection process is currently in progress. The notification also includes 1550 new posts and 450 vacant posts of 2021-22, 2022-23. The petition further said that due to no recruitment in the past, his age has increased. Therefore, they should be given relaxation in the age limit to participate in the recruitment process.
Not only this, they also say that the age limit set for police recruitment is 18 to 22 years. That should also be amended. In this matter, the Uttarakhand Berojgar Sangathan has given its representation to the government several times. Even after that, no consideration was given to it. It has been said in the petition that the age limit of the youth of the state to participate in the police recruitment should be increased from 22 years to at least 25 years, because the state government does not conduct this examination year after year. The brunt of which has to be borne by the youth.
