Almora: In the first phase of Uttarakhand Panchayat elections, voters have shown a lot of enthusiasm.Despite the challenges of weather, a large number of voters came out of their homes and went to the polling booths to vote. If we talk about Almora district, women voters here were more aware than men voters. In Almora, women voted about 12 percent more than men.
In Almora, under the first phase, voting took place in Takula, Dhauladevi, Tadikhet, Bhaisiyachana, Lamgara and Chaukhutia development blocks. In all these six blocks, women have shown more interest in choosing their leader than men. About 12 percent more women have voted.
Know how much percentage of votes were cast in which block: Talking about the development blocks, the highest voting in Almora district was 62.31 percent in Lamgara block. At the same time, the lowest voting was 57.24 percent in Chaukhutia. Apart from this, 60.62 percent voting took place in Tadi Khet block, 60.59 percent in Dhauladelmagada block, 58.91 percent in Takula block and 60.92 percent in Bhaisiyachana. Whereas 60.19 percent voters voted in the entire district.
Women voters appeared more aware:
Out of 44102 voters in Takula, 25980 voters voted. Here 11323 men and 14657 women voted.
Out of 58476 voters in Dhauladevi, 35428 voted. Here 17325 men and 18103 women voters exercised their franchise.
Out of a total of 62342 voters in Tadi Khet, 37793 people voted, in which 18106 men and 19687 women voters voted.
In Bhaisiyachana, out of a total of 25681 voters, 15645 voters voted, which included 7404 male and 8241 female voters.
In Lamgara block, out of 51825 voters, 32290 voters voted, in which 16043 male and 16247 female voters exercised their franchise.
In Chaukhutia, out of 41363 voters, 23675 people exercised their vote. Here too, men lagged behind women in voting. 10557 men and 13118 women voted.
Let us tell you that the second phase of voting will be held on July 28. The fate of the candidates locked in the ballot boxes will be decided on July 31. Only after that it will be known whom the people have chosen as their Pradhan.
