Dehradun: Monsoon rains are becoming a disaster in Uttarakhand these days. It is raining intermittently in the state. Due to which many state highways and national highways of the state are getting disrupted continuously. Due to which people are not able to reach their destination on time. At the same time, the Meteorological Department has again issued a rain alert in many districts today.
Monsoon rains are gaining momentum again in Uttarakhand. Heavy rain alert has been issued in many districts of the state today. According to the Dehradun Meteorological Department, light to moderate rains may occur in many places of the hilly districts of the state and some places in the plain districts today. There is a possibility of heavy rain at some places in Rudraprayag and Bageshwar districts of the state.
While in some areas of the hilly districts of the state, a period of heavy rain with thunder and lightning may start. In view of which the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert. At the same time, the sky will be partially to generally cloudy in the capital Dehradun today. Light to moderate rain is expected at some places with thunder and lightning. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 34°C to 24°C.
It is worth noting that monsoon is raining heavily in the state. Monsoon rain is becoming a disaster for the people. People are facing problems due to many routes being blocked in the mountainous regions. Whereas due to heavy rains, rivers and streams are overflowing and people are seen crossing the rivers and streams by risking their lives. Due to heavy rains, waterlogging is being seen in many areas in the plains.
The pace of monsoon rain in the state is sometimes slowing down and sometimes picking up speed. Due to continuous rain, there is a drop in temperature. Due to which people are getting relief from the heat. At the same time, the rain is also affecting the Chardham Yatra. Landslides are occurring at many places on the Chardham Yatra route. After which the administration is stopping the passengers and sending them on further journey when it is safe.
