Chamoli/Rudraprayag: Rain has disrupted life in Uttarakhand. Roads are closed due to landslides at many places in the state. Landslides have occurred at many places in Rudraprayag and Chamoli districts. This has disrupted the Kedarnath and Badrinath Yatra. The road has been opened by removing the debris in Nandprayag.
Landslide in Sirobagadh: A landslide has occurred between Rudraprayag and Srinagar in Rudraprayag district. A landslide has occurred in Sirobagadh, which has become a problem for the travelers. A lot of debris from the mountain has fallen on the Rishikesh Badrinath National Highway. Due to this, the movement of vehicles on this NH is closed. The concerned teams are engaged in removing the debris lying on the national highway.
Rudraprayag Police has also informed about the closure of the road in Sirobagadh on its social media handle X. Interestingly, the social media team of Rudraprayag police has also informed about this in Garhwali language. They have written ‘Sirobagd Maa Batu Band Cha.’
Badrinath NH closed in Nandprayag opens: Along with this, a landslide has also occurred in Chamoli district. Here the Badrinath National Highway was blocked due to debris falling from the hill near Nandprayag. Due to this, vehicles going from Karnaprayag to Nandprayag via Chamoli, Gopeshwar, Joshimath and Badrinath were not able to move forward. Neither are vehicles from the other side able to come here. However, for vehicles coming from Joshimath, the route going towards Ukhimath via Gopeshwar is an option. At present, the closed route has been opened.
NH opens in Kameda: Earlier, a landslide had also occurred near Kameda in Chamoli district. But the debris of the landslide has been removed from the road. Chamoli Police has informed about the opening of Badrinath National Highway on its social media account.
