Chardham helicopter service got new control center

Dehradun: Commanding control center has started at Sahastradhara Helidrome for helicopter operations in Chardham Yatra. In this center, experts from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority, Meteorological and Security Department are constantly monitoring the flight with providing weather related information to the crew for helicopter operations. On the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami to follow the rules in the operation of the heli service in the Chardham Yatra, Yukada has established a commanding control center in Sahastradhara Helidrome. On Tuesday, the heli service operation from this center was fully monitored. Helicopters were not allowed to fly due to bad weather at places other than Kedar Ghati. Due to which the heli service could not start. Yukada CEO Sonica said that the commanding control center has started in Sahastradhara. Coordination is being made in the heli service operation with other departments including DGCA, Yukada, weather, security department. Weather updates are also being given to the helicopter crew from the centre.
