Dehradun: A total of six important matters were approved in the Uttarakhand Cabinet meeting held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. Important decisions related to agriculture, mining, environment, health education, women and child development were taken in these proposals.
In the meeting, the cabinet gave a big approval in the matter related to the Biotechnology Council. The rules were approved for the operation of 46 posts already created in two centers of the council. At the same time, under the instructions of the High Court, approval has also been given to create 18 new posts in the mining department.
In an important decision related to the environment, the cabinet approved the declaration of the area on both sides of the Asan Barrage as ‘Wetland Zone’. The total length of this part of the Asan river is 53 km. Earlier objections were sought on this, after removing which this decision has been taken. Apart from this, approval has been given for construction of infrastructure like STP (Sewage Treatment Plant), mobile towers, ropeway towers and elevated road construction in the flood zone areas of Rispana and Bindal rivers of Dehradun.
