Dehradun: The terrorists in Pahalgam committed a heinous act wearing army uniforms. In view of this, selling of army or police uniforms will be banned. Senior Superintendent of Police Dehradun has instructed all the station in-charges to identify all such shops in their respective areas where uniforms and other items related to army/paramilitary forces and other security agencies are sold.
Shopkeepers have been asked to identify them and prepare their list. All such shopkeepers have been instructed not to sell uniforms and other items related to army/paramilitary forces and other security agencies to any person without ID.
Leaders put under house arrest
After the terrorist incident in Pahalgam, a checking campaign was carried out in Dehradun. On the other hand, the police remained alert on Thursday after the statement given by Hindu Raksha Dal on Kashmiri students. The police has registered a case against the president of Hindu Raksha Dal. Also, the party leaders were put under house arrest from morning to afternoon.
Hindu Raksha Dal state president Lalit Sharma had made a controversial statement on Kashmiri students on Wednesday. When its video went viral on social media, the police swung into action. Along with issuing an alert, the security of Kashmiri students was also beefed up. On Thursday, from 10 am onwards, the police reached the homes of Hindu Raksha Dal members and did not let them leave their homes. There was a strict police vigil at their homes till afternoon.
SSP Ajay Singh said that after the statement made on Kashmiri students, a case has been registered against the accused. The police is serious about the safety of Kashmiri students. If anyone tries to disturb the peace, strict action will be taken.
