Taking a strict stance against unauthorized construction in the capital city of Dehradun, the Mussoorie-Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) has sealed a property located in Engineer Enclave, Jakhan, on Rajpur Road.
According to the Authority, the construction—carried out by Anubhav Chhabra and Vikas Girdhar—deviated from the approved building plan and violated established regulations. Following verification of the matter, a case was registered under the provisions of the Uttar Pradesh Urban Planning and Development Act, 1973 (as amended by the Uttarakhand Amendment Act, 2009), and the property was sealed in accordance with the prescribed legal procedure.
MDDA Vice-Chairman Banshidhar Tiwari emphasized that planned development remains a top priority for the Authority, and any disregard for approved building plans will not be tolerated. Meanwhile, MDDA Secretary Mohan Singh Barnia has urged builders to ensure that all construction work strictly adheres to the specifications of the approved plans to avoid legal action.
