Uttarakhand Assembly Speaker and Kotdwar MLA Ritu Khanduri Bhushan met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at his official residence. During the meeting, she held detailed discussions on several key issues concerning the development of the Kotdwar region and matters of public interest.
The Assembly Speaker reiterated the long-standing demand to grant Kotdwar the status of a district. She emphasized that Kotdwar serves as the gateway to Garhwal and is a significant administrative hub; designating it as a district would ensure easier access to administrative services for the citizens. Additionally, she apprised the Chief Minister of the long-pending issue regarding the multi-level parking project in Motor Nagar and urged for a speedy resolution.
Ritu Khanduri Bhushan also invited the Chief Minister to visit Kotdwar. She requested him to allocate time for the inauguration of completed projects—including the newly constructed bus terminal—and for laying the foundation stones for new development initiatives
