The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has leveled serious allegations against the Congress, accusing it of insulting Sanatan traditions, national heroes, and the deceased family members of public figures. The BJP asserts that after targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother, the Congress has now launched a direct attack on Sanatan faith by questioning the sacred *Shraddh* (ritual offering for the deceased) ceremony of Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s late father.
Furthermore, the BJP has questioned the Congress’s double standards regarding the ‘Mohammad Deepak’ case. The party alleges that Congress leaders traveled all the way to Kotdwar to meet the individual against whom an FIR had been registered—and who had been arrested—for assaulting and threatening a businessman, yet they failed to inquire about the well-being of the victimized businessman.
Citing past statements made by Congress leaders regarding former Army Chief General Bipin Rawat and NSA Ajit Doval, the BJP stated that the Congress insults the armed forces and patriots, whereas the BJP believes in a politics rooted in service, good governance, and traditional values.
