While reviewing the progress of the 25-point program at the Secretariat, Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan directed officials to regularly assess the on-ground impact of the schemes and the actual benefits reaching the general public. He instructed all District Magistrates (DMs) to conduct a mandatory monthly review of the program in their respective districts.
The Chief Secretary directed officials to prepare a detailed report on the increase in beneficiaries’ income resulting from *Pirul* (pine needle) collection and to streamline the door-to-door waste collection and segregation system. Instructions were issued to establish a centralized real-time monitoring mechanism to ensure the full utilization of the capacity of all Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) in the state. Additionally, directives were given to strictly enforce in-house STP regulations in large commercial establishments and group housing societies, strengthen the anti-encroachment monitoring system, and expedite pending parking projects.
