Several key decisions were approved during a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.
Key Decisions:
• UPNAL Personnel and Pay Scales: UPNAL personnel will receive the benefit of ‘equal pay for equal work’ in three phases. Pay levels 15 and 16 for government employees were revised to levels 14 and 15, respectively.
• Agniveer and Soldier Honors: A dedicated cell comprising six posts will be established for discharged Agniveers, and statues of martyred soldiers will be installed in their native villages.
• Health and Energy: An NCDC branch will be set up at the Haridwar Medical College to facilitate medicine procurement through the Uttarakhand Medical Supplies Corporation. Approval was granted for the purchase of 1,320 MW of power from Adani Power at a rate of ₹5.746 per unit.
• Policy and Other Decisions: The Uttarakhand State Cooperative Policy 2026 and the Population Survey Rules were approved. The cess exemption on hybrid and CNG vehicles was withdrawn, while a stamp duty exemption was granted to the Cancer Care Center in Rishikesh.
