On Wednesday, a heartfelt tribute was paid to the renowned shooter and Padma Shri awardee, the late Jaspal Rana, during the *Trayodashi Sanskar* (post-death ritual) held at Majhaun, Dehradun. Union Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh and Uttarakhand Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami paid their respects by offering floral tributes at the portrait of the late Jaspal Rana.
On this sorrowful occasion, Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh met the bereaved family members and expressed his deepest condolences. He prayed to the Almighty to grant the family strength and fortitude during this difficult time. The passing of Jaspal Rana—a shining star of the sports world who brought glory to the nation—has cast a pall of gloom over the entire region.
