A moment of pride has emerged for the youth of Uttarakhand. On Wednesday, Ms. Sapna Rana, a native of Tehri Garhwal, met Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami at his official residence. Through the state government’s ‘Chief Minister Skill Upgradation and Global Employment Scheme,’ Ms. Rana has been selected for the position of a nurse at the prestigious ‘Schön Klinik Hospital’ in Hamburg, Germany. She will receive an attractive monthly salary of 3,060 Euros (approximately ₹3,30,000) there.
Sapna completed her schooling at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Pokhal (Tehri), and her nursing education at the State Nursing College, Dehradun. She achieved this success after undergoing German language training conducted by the Overseas Employment Cell.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister stated that the state government’s Overseas Employment Cell is continuously striving to secure global employment opportunities for the youth in countries like Japan and Germany. So far, approximately 65 young people have secured jobs in Japan. Cabinet Minister Shri Saurabh Bahuguna noted that there are vast opportunities for youth in the nursing sector in Germany, and the government is providing special training for this purpose.
