Kali Sena President Detained
The police have taken a strict stance against attempts to inflame the atmosphere just before Holi. Dehradun police have placed Bhupesh Joshi, president of the Devbhoomi Kali Sena, who threatened to play with his workers at a mosque, under house arrest. Police have deployed a police guard outside his home in Raipur police station, and visitors are being monitored.
Bajrang Dal files complaint
Bajrang Dal workers have also filed a complaint with the police against the deliberate involvement of the Bajrang Dal in cases of fights and violence in the city. It is alleged that some individuals on social media portals are deliberately dragging the party’s name into matters that are of no concern to them, with the intention of tarnishing its image.
Strict security will be maintained on Holi.
The police have made strict security arrangements to prevent any disturbance on Holi. SSP Pramod Singh Dobal warned that strict action will be taken against those who create disturbance or anarchy under the guise of the festival, and such individuals will be sent directly to jail. To strengthen security, the entire district has been divided into three super zones, eight zones, 21 sectors, and 53 sub-sectors. Sensitive areas have been identified by studying disputes that have occurred in previous years. Security arrangements have been further strengthened in these areas.
