Despite the rain, the enthusiasm of tourists in Shimla remained undiminished, and a large crowd of tourists was seen at major tourist spots in the city, including the Ridge.

Some tourists described this change in weather as the “perfect hill station experience.” The beauty of Shimla, surrounded by cold winds and clouds, greatly attracted the tourists. Meanwhile, snowfall has started in the higher reaches of the state. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rain and snowfall are expected in the state today, along with strong winds at a speed of 40-50 to 60 kilometers per hour. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain and thunderstorms in Shimla and surrounding areas in the coming hours. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for heavy snowfall at one or two places in four districts of Himachal Pradesh: Chamba, Kullu, Kinnaur, and Lahaul. Heavy rain and snowfall are expected in most areas of the mid-mountainous regions, and heavy rain is likely in most places in the lower and plains areas. Sunita, who came to Shimla from Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh, says, “It felt very good to come to Shimla. The weather here is very pleasant. There was snowfall on January 23, and we came to Shimla on January 24. We hoped to see snowfall. We couldn’t see the snowfall, but we definitely enjoyed the snow. It feels great to be here in this weather.” Tourists Sunil and Rohan from Delhi say, “The temperature has now reached 6 degrees Celsius; at least 1 degree is needed for snowfall. In the morning, the temperature had reached 9-10 degrees. We are hopeful that there will be snowfall, but the weather here still feels very nice. We came here to see the snowfall. But, even without snowfall, the weather here is very beautiful.”
