Senior Superintendent of Police Pramendra Singh Dobhal has formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the shooting death of notorious criminal Vinay Tyagi in Laksar, Western Uttar Pradesh. Instructions have been given to conduct a thorough and impartial investigation.
On December 24, while being transported from Roorkee Jail to the Laksar court for a hearing, notorious gangster Vinay Tyagi was shot multiple times by assailants on motorcycles while still inside the police vehicle. Vinay was seriously injured, sustaining approximately three gunshot wounds. He was referred to AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences), where he succumbed to his injuries on Saturday morning, three days later. Police arrested two suspects in connection with the case on Thursday. The case, initially registered as attempted murder, has now been upgraded to murder, and the investigation has begun.
Now, on Sunday night, SSP Pramendra Singh Dobhal has formed an SIT under the leadership of CO City Shishupal Singh Negi. The SSP has instructed the team to thoroughly investigate every aspect, evidence, and circumstance related to the incident. Instructions have also been given to complete the investigation in a timely manner and submit a report.

The SIT, headed by CO City Shishupal Singh Negi, includes Pathri SHO Manoj Nautiyal, Bahadrabad SHO Ankur Sharma, Laksar Kotwali Sub-Inspector Vipin Kumar, Head Constable Vinod Kundaliya, and Constable Mahipal from the Roorkee CIU.
