Alluri Sitarama Raju/Sukma: A notorious Naxal couple, Jayalal and Gangi, from the Darbha division of Chhattisgarh, surrendered to the police on Sunday. The two Naxalites have decided to join the mainstream of society by surrendering to the Sukma police and the Alluri Sitarama Raju (Andhra Pradesh) police.
Surrender of Naxalites Jayalal and Gangi
A bounty of lakhs was announced on Naxalites Jayalal and Gangi. The Chhattisgarh government had announced a reward of โน2.5 million for Jayalal, while a reward of โน8 lakh was announced for Madvi Gangi. Jayalal, alias Dirdo Vijja, served as the Darbha division in-charge and SZCM. Madvi Gangi, alias Vimala, was the Malanger area committee in-charge and DVCM. Fed up with the Maoists’ hollow ideology, they surrendered.
The two Naxalites surrendered after being fed up with the Maoists’ hollow ideology. Both Naxalites stated that the continuous killing of senior Maoist leaders in encounters had broken their morale. Therefore, they decided to surrender. Furthermore, distrust within the Naxalite organization, a lack of basic resources, and insecurity about the future had devastated Naxalites Jayalal and Gangi. Therefore, they decided to join mainstream society.
The Chhattisgarh government’s rehabilitation policy, employment opportunities, training, and financial assistance influenced Naxalites Jayalal and Gangi to surrender. This surrender will prove to be a major success in weakening Maoist activities in the region. Information about Naxalite Madvi Gangi
Madvi Gangi, alias Vimala, had been active in the Naxalite organization for 20 years. She was a prominent figure in the Naxalite women’s wing. She belonged to the Malangher Area Committee. Gangi was involved in the 2021 Tekalgude encounter. Gangi was also involved in the 2024 Tekalguda camp attack.
After opening a camp in Gogunda, an impenetrable area of โโDarbha Division, the surrender of Jailal and Gangi is tantamount to breaking the backbone of Darbha Division. Sukma ASP Appeals to Naxalites
On behalf of the Sukma Police, Sukma ASP Rohit Shah has appealed to the Naxalites to surrender. Rohit Shah also appealed to the remaining Maoist cadres to give up arms and take advantage of the government’s rehabilitation policy. Returning to the mainstream is the only path to a secure future.
