New Delhi: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has officially invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend the Telangana Rising Global Summit, which will be held on December 8th and 9th at Bharat Future City in Hyderabad.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Parliament and presented him with the invitation to the Global Summit. CM Reddy also presented the Global Summit logo to PM Modi.
According to an official statement, during the meeting, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy explained to Prime Minister Modi the main objective of the Global Summit, which is to attract investment from around the world and strengthen the state’s economy by strengthening every sector. Revanth Reddy informed Prime Minister Modi that the state government has set a target of achieving a US$3 trillion economy by 2047, in line with the goals set by the central government under the Developed India 2047 vision. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said, “The Telangana Rising 2047 vision document has been prepared to analyze the growth goals and future plans of all sectors.” This vision document, being presented at the summit, was prepared in consultation with the NITI Aayog and after brainstorming with experts from various sectors.
Appealing to Prime Minister Modi for full support to the ongoing development work under the Telangana Rising vision, CM Revanth Reddy requested approval of all pending projects.
According to the statement, CM Reddy also discussed with PM Modi the approval of the second phase of the Hyderabad Metro Rail Project. Chief Minister Reddy stated that the state government has already submitted a proposal to the central government to extend the total length by 162.5 km and requested the Prime Minister to approve the project, estimated to cost โน43,848 crore, as a joint venture between the central and state governments. The statement stated that during his meeting with PM Modi, CM Revanth Reddy requested approval for the northern section of the Hyderabad Regional Ring Road and financial approval for the construction of the southern section. The meeting between Chief Minister Reddy and PM Modi also discussed the proposed Regional Ring Rail project along with the Regional Ring Road.
In a memorandum to Prime Minister Modi, CM Reddy requested the central government’s assistance in building a 12-lane greenfield expressway from Hyderabad to Machilipatnam Port (Bandar Port) via Amaravati and developing the Hyderabad-Bangalore High Speed โโCorridor. A proposal to build a four-lane elevated corridor from Mannanur to Srisailam via the Tiger Reserve to ensure uninterrupted transport from Hyderabad to Srisailam temple was also one of the demands.
