NIA Arrests Four More Key Accused in Delhi Blast Case
New Delhi: As the investigation into the November 10 Delhi blast case intensifies, the NIA has arrested four more key accused involved in the terrorist attack. This brings the total number of arrests in the case to six.
According to the NIA, three of the arrested accused are from Jammu and Kashmir, while one is from Uttar Pradesh. The NIA has identified the accused as Dr. Muzammil Shakeel Ganai from Pulwama, Dr. Adeel Ahmed Rather from Anantnag, Mufti Irfan Ahmed Wagay from Shopian (all from Jammu and Kashmir), and Dr. Shaheen Saeed from Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh). In a statement on Thursday, the NIA said, “On the production order of the District Sessions Judge, Patiala House Court, the NIA detained all four accused in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir.”
According to the NIA investigation, all of them played a key role in the terrorist attack, which killed several innocent people and injured many others. Expediting the investigation, the NIA first arrested two accused – Aamir Rashid Ali, in whose name the car used in the blast was registered, and Jaseer Bilal Wani alias Danish, who provided technical support to the terrorist involved in the deadly attack.
According to earlier statements, Jaseer provided technical support for the terrorist attack by modifying drones and attempting to build rockets before the deadly car bomb blast, which killed 15 people and injured over 30.
Earlier on Monday, a Delhi court also sent Aamir Rashid Ali, a Kashmiri resident accused of conspiring with Umar, to 10 days of NIA custody. Ali, in whose name the car used in the blast was registered, was arrested on November 16.
The NIA said, “His interrogation is ongoing as part of the NIA’s efforts to unravel the entire terror conspiracy in case RC-21/2025/NIA/DLI.” The anti-terror agency, which was handed over the investigation by the Union Home Ministry soon after the attack, is working in collaboration with various state police forces to track and arrest every member of the terrorist module involved in the terror attack.
