Kolkata: Trinamool MP Kalyan Banerjee has alleged that ammunition was allowed to be stored at the Raj Bhavan in Kolkata. Following this allegation, West Bengal Governor C.V. Ananda Bose opened the doors of the Raj Bhavan to the public and journalists for a search.
This time, a thorough search operation is being conducted at the Raj Bhavan with the help of bomb disposal squads, dog squads, and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). Governor C.V. Ananda Bose will personally lead the search operation. The Raj Bhavan’s Special Officer stated, “The allegations made by Trinamool MP Kalyan Banerjee are very serious.
Following his allegations, Governor C.V. Ananda Bose will personally lead the search operation. That is why he is returning to Kolkata, cutting short his North Bengal program.” According to Raj Bhavan sources, the Governor was in Siliguri for a special event. CV Anand Bose is returning to Raj Bhavan in Kolkata on Monday, cutting short that trip.
On the Governor’s orders, a joint search operation will be conducted throughout the Raj Bhavan and its premises. The Governor will lead this joint operation, and the Kolkata Police, Raj Bhavan Police Outpost, CRPF, bomb disposal squad, and dog squad will participate.
In addition to the above forces, the Disaster Management and Civil Defense departments will also participate in the operation and conduct fire drills. The Raj Bhavan is being evacuated on Monday to facilitate the operation. The entire search operation will be broadcast live.
It is noteworthy that Trinamool Congress MP Kalyan Banerjee launched a scathing attack on the state Governor CV Anand Bose, alleging that miscreants were being sheltered in the Raj Bhavan. The Trinamool MP also alleged that the Governor was providing weapons to BJP miscreants. The Raj Bhavan has taken a strong stand on this matter. A response has been issued.
Rejecting Kalyan Banerjee’s allegations, questions have been raised about the security of the Governor, who is under the protection of the Kolkata Police. On Sunday, the doors of the Raj Bhavan were kept open for journalists, police, and investigators to determine where the ammunition is hidden.
On Monday, the Governor himself will go in search of the ammunition. Furthermore, CV Anand Bose has requested the Lok Sabha Speaker to seriously investigate this allegation by Trinamool MP Kalyan Banerjee. It is reported that the Raj Bhavan is considering legal action following these allegations.
