Raipur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the country’s first digital tribal museum. He presented this gift to the public on the 25th foundation day of Chhattisgarh. This digital museum presents the lives of tribal people, the glorious stories of tribal heroes, and folk culture through the latest technology and virtual reality. After visiting the tribal museum, PM Modi praised it highly. He said that by visiting this museum, we can understand how our brave heroes worked towards the country’s independence and social transformation.
Inauguration of the country’s first digital tribal museum: This is the country’s first tribal digital museum, built in Raipur. The Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Memorial cum Tribal Freedom Fighter Museum is magnificent. A total of 16 galleries have been constructed here. Each of these 16 galleries details the lives of brave tribal leaders. The contributions of these brave heroes to the country’s independence are documented here.
Information about the Paralkot Rebellion: The Paralkot Rebellion took place in Bastar, Chhattisgarh, from 1824 to 1825 under the leadership of landlord Gend Singh. The rebellion was a major tribal resistance against the exploitation and oppression of the British and Maratha rulers. Gend Singh united the local tribals and used their traditional weapons and methods, such as beekeeping.
Information about the Tarapur Rebellion: The Tarapur Rebellion took place from 1842 to 1863. It was a tribal rebellion in Bastar. It was led by Dalganjan Singh and was against excessive tax collection. The Moria Rebellion, the Rani Cho-Cheras Movement, the Bhumkal Rebellion, the Koi Rebellion, the Lingagarh Rebellion, the Sonakhan Rebellion, the Halba Rebellion, the Surguja Rebellion, and the Bhopalpatnam Rebellion are also covered in detail.
650 statues are housed in 14 galleries: PM Modi praised the state government for the construction of the museum. The PM said that information about all the heroes has been provided together in one place, which is a significant achievement in itself. This museum will provide us with an opportunity to know and understand our brave heroes. A total of 650 statues have been placed in 16 galleries. Information related to each statue is also provided. The entire museum is equipped with technologies like multimedia and VFX, and traditional weapons of the freedom fighters are also displayed.
