Patna: The broken relations within the Grand Alliance regarding seat-sharing for the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections appear to be improving. Today, veteran Congress leader and former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot met with Lalu Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav, where all grievances were resolved. The outcome of the talks was very positive. It is believed that the two parties have reached an agreement on seat-sharing and the CM face.
Gehlot meets Lalu’s family: Congress observer for the Bihar elections, Ashok Gehlot, visited the Rabri residence at 10 Circular Road in Patna today and met with the Lalu family. RJD President Lalu Yadav, former Chief Minister Rabri Devi, and Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav were also present during the conversation. What did Ashok Gehlot say?: Ashok Gehlot held talks with Lalu Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav for about an hour. After emerging, he said that everything will be fine. On the question of friendly contests on several seats, the former Chief Minister of Rajasthan said that even if this happens, there is no need to worry; all questions will be answered tomorrow.
“There is a press conference tomorrow; all confusion will be cleared. The Grand Alliance is contesting unitedly. Out of 243 seats, there are local issues in 5-10 seats, where friendly fights can take place. There is no problem.” – Ashok Gehlot, Observer, Bihar Congress. What did you discuss with Lalu and Tejashwi?: Meanwhile, Bihar Congress in-charge Krishna Allavaru said that the conversation with the top RJD leadership was good. He said that further strategies for better coordination and campaigning in the Bihar elections were discussed. Detailed information will be provided at the alliance’s joint press conference on Thursday. “We discussed future strategies and how we can work for the people of the state after forming the government. Every detail will be given tomorrow. The NDA should answer what they have done in the last five years.” – Krishna Allavaru, In-charge, Bihar Congress
Why is there a problem in the Grand Alliance?: Actually, the constituent parties of the Grand Alliance are unable to reach an agreement on 10 seats. Because of this, they have fielded candidates against each other. The biggest problem lies with the RJD and the Congress. Meanwhile, the Congress is avoiding declaring Tejashwi Yadav as the CM candidate, which seems to be having a negative impact on the relations between the two parties. Tejashwi has not yet campaigned, which is sending a wrong message.
