Cuttack: The SI recruitment scam case is getting more and more. The crime branch has arrested 4 more accused in the case. Thus, the number of people arrested has gone up to 123. The accused arrested today include Muna Mohanty, Abhimanyu Dora, Rinku Maharana and Soumya Priyadarshini.
If you look at it, Abhimanyu is the former block president of Dora Daspalla block. The DG of the crime branch said that Abhimanyu sheltered Muna and destroyed the evidence. SUBSEQUENTLY, THE DG OF THE CRIME BRANCH SAID THAT MUNA MOHANTY WILL BE TAKEN ON REMAND FOR QUESTIONING.
So far, the crime branch has not been able to arrest the main accused Shankar. Shankar is playing hide-and-seek with the police. After receiving information that he was in Delhi, the police launched a search operation but could not arrest him. The DG of the crime branch said that Shankar will be arrested soon.
After the investigation, a special team with two SPs has been formed under the leadership of the DG. Not only this, hundreds of candidates must have gone to West Bengal as well as Andhra Pradesh. Another room was also booked in Digha. There too, question papers and answers were practiced in Andhra Pradesh style.
It was booked by Arvind Das, a resident of Balasore. The crime branch had already arrested Arvind. Muna Mohanty had assisted in taking the candidates to Andhra Pradesh.
For this, Tulsi booked a bus from Travels and obtained a certificate from the candidates through Saumya Priyadarshini. The biggest thing is that 110 candidates were planned to go to West Bengal. On the 30th, these candidates would go to West Bengal, but on the 29th, after the Brahmapur police arrested 117 people, all their plans fell through. The big thing is that the crime branch has not found any clue of the candidates of this Digha module.
Why were 110 rooms booked there? Though the investigation process has been intensified to obtain information in this regard, the DG said that the accused will be arrested soon. Also, the DG clarified that there is an international link in the scam and it is being investigated.
Most importantly, 114 of the 117 people arrested on the 29th had their mobile phones seized. And on the very day of the arrest, he had deleted the entire chat history when asked to delete the mobile data. Crime branch DG Vinaytosh Mishra said that the mobile phone will be sent to the forensic lab for further investigation.
