A delegation from the Uttarakhand Nursing Federation paid a courtesy call on Ghansali MLA Shaktilal Shah on Sunday and submitted a memorandum demanding the early initiation of the annual recruitment process for nursing officers in the state.
The delegation specifically demanded that the recruitment process be regularized and based on seniority, so that long-awaited trained nursing officers can find employment and strengthen the state’s health services.
The Federation’s key demands included the following:
A regular annual recruitment process should be initiated to address staff shortages in hospitals.
Priority should be given to native residents of Uttarakhand to provide better employment opportunities to local youth.
MLA Shaktilal Shah listened attentively to the Nursing Federation’s concerns and assured them that he would soon meet with the Health Minister to raise this issue prominently. He stated that strengthening the state’s health sector is a priority for the government, and every effort will be made in this direction.
On this occasion, State spokesperson Rajendra Kukreti, media in-charge Pravesh Rawat, and member Anil Ramola, along with other members, were present on behalf of the Nursing Federation.
The Federation stated that its objective is not only to strengthen the state’s health services but also to ensure unemployed nursing officers receive their due rights. To this end, the Federation is continuously communicating with the government and emphasizing the need to expedite the recruitment process in the health department
