The Chief Minister inaugurated 15,600 newly constructed houses under the BLC component of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban). Municipal bodies that performed exceptionally well in the Swachhta Survey 2024-25 were awarded the Atal Nirmal Nagar Award. The Chief Minister honored Rudrapur Municipal Corporation with the first, Pithoragarh Municipal Corporation with the second, and Kotdwar Corporation with the third Atal Nirmal Nagar Award 2025. Mussoorie Municipal Corporation received the first, Doiwala Municipal Corporation with the second, and Bhimtal with the third Atal Nirmal Nagar Award. Among the municipal councils, Lalkuan received the first, Gularbhoj with the second, and Bhikiyasain with the third. Lansdowne was awarded the first, Ranikhet the second, and Roorkee the third Atal Nirmal Nagar Award in the Cantonment Board. The Chief Minister flagged off vehicles related to solid waste management. 244 new vehicles for solid waste management were dedicated to the state by urban bodies. He stated that these schemes will bring about substantial improvements in health, sanitation, and housing in urban areas, directly benefiting ordinary citizens. The Chief Minister stated that these schemes will expand health services in the state’s municipal bodies, provide housing for the urban poor, organize street vendors and connect them with livelihoods, and bring about significant changes in the areas of sanitation and solid waste management. Through the Swachh Bharat Mission, a new culture of cleanliness has developed in millions of cities, towns, and cities across the country. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, millions of poor families have received their own pucca houses. The CM further spoke on the issue of the youth, saying, “I can bow my head, I can erase myself.” CM Dhami clarified that upon learning of a recent cheating case, the government took immediate action and arrested the accused. An SIT was formed to investigate the entire examination, but the opposition, using this case as a shield, tried to further its political agenda by using our youth as a shield. Attempts were made to spread anarchy in the state. Those who have been questioning the CBI and ED investigations for their own political interests were trying to gain political advantage by using the youth as a front and demanding a CBI investigation. Chief Minister Dhami said that seeing the plight of our children and to thwart the conspiracy of anti-social elements, I personally met with the youth and assured them that all their legitimate demands would be met, along with a CBI investigation. Some people are even saying that we have caved in to the youth or those demanding a CBI investigation. I want to make it clear to all such people that I can bow my head and even sacrifice myself to protect the interests of the youth
