New Delhi: Delhi Police has achieved another major success in the ongoing action against terrorism. Delhi Police’s Special Cell has arrested five terrorists from different states of the country. Parts used in making IED have also been recovered from these accused.
It is being told that this action has been taken on the basis of interrogation of two terrorists and six suspects who were recently arrested from Delhi and Ranchi. Now the police and intelligence agencies are running a campaign across the country to dismantle the entire network. Earlier two terrorists and 6 suspects were arrested.
Delhi Police’s Special Cell had conducted a joint operation with Jharkhand ATS and Ranchi Police. During this, two terrorists said to be associated with ISIS, Aftab from Delhi and Danish alias Ashar Danish from Ranchi, were arrested. Apart from these, 6 more suspects were also detained from different parts of the country. The arrested Danish is a resident of Bokaro and was wanted in an old case of Delhi Police. The connection of these two terrorists with ISIS was confirmed. They were working as agents for the organization.
New action after interrogation
Police sources say that many important clues were found during the interrogation of Aftab, Danish and other suspects taken into custody. Based on these clues, five more terrorists have been arrested by conducting raids in different states. The police have also found some important parts of IED, which has deepened the suspicion that this network was planning a major terrorist incident. The police may soon reveal it. Security agencies on alert across the country After the arrest of terrorists, security agencies are on alert in many states including Delhi, Jharkhand, Bihar. Forensic investigation of the digital devices of all the suspects is being done, so that complete information about their activities and contacts can be obtained. Security agencies are also trying to find out in which states the terrorist network has spread its links.
Preparations to end the entire syndicate
Intelligence agencies believe that this is a big syndicate linked to ISIS, whose activities have spread to Delhi, Jharkhand, Bihar and other states. Now the police and central investigation agencies across the country are jointly making a strategy to break this entire network. It is believed that many more names may come out during the interrogation, on the basis of which more arrests may be made in the coming days.
