Dehradun: The Meteorological Center Dehradun has issued a weather alert for Saturday. According to this alert, there is a special alert of rain in 7 districts of the state on Saturday 5 July. However, it will rain in entire Uttarakhand. Out of the 7 districts in which there is a special alert, 4 districts are from Garhwal division. The remaining 3 districts come in Kumaon division.
It will rain in entire Uttarakhand on Saturday: According to the Meteorological Department’s alert, it will rain at most places in Dehradun, Tehri Garhwal, Rudraprayag and Chamoli districts in Garhwal division of Uttarakhand on Saturday. There will be rain in the remaining 3 districts of the division as well, but it will be light to moderate. It will rain at most places in the three districts of Kumaon division, Nainital, Pithoragarh and Bageshwar on Saturday. Rain is also expected in the remaining 3 districts, but it will be light and moderate.
Rain will continue till July 10: Along with this, the Meteorological Center has also issued a weather alert for Uttarakhand till July 10. According to the Meteorological Department, on 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 July, most of the districts of Uttarakhand will receive light to moderate rain.
Monsoon reached Uttarakhand on 20 June: It is worth noting that this year monsoon reached Uttarakhand on 20 June. Pre-monsoon rain was happening before the arrival of monsoon. After the arrival of monsoon, the scope and proportion of rain increased. It has been raining continuously since 20 June. Incidents of landslides have increased in hilly areas. Rivers are in spate. Roads are breaking at many places. The problem of waterlogging has started in the plains as well.
